Generation Sinai 2014

Generation Sinai 2014

On Thursday 22nd May over 250 Sinai parents and pupils gathered in the school hall for the international ‘Generation Sinai’ project. Parents and grandparents from all across the school sat with their children to learn some of the important lessons about kindness which are learnt from the Book of Ruth. The topics were discussed with such enthusiasm and fervour that you could almost feel the studious atmosphere which filled the hall. Rabbi Edwards from SEED introduced the session by explaining the significance of the Jewish people camped at the foot of Mount Sinai as a nation coming together as one, to receive and learn the Torah, in much the same way as this internationally acclaimed project bringing Jewish people of all nationalities together to learn on one of the days before Shavuot, the time of the giving of our Torah.

The Generation Sinai promotional video featured some of the highlights from last year’s event and features our school’s participation.

Thanks to all the parents and grandparents that attended, we are sure that you enjoyed the event as much as our pupils did.
