Reception (F2 – 3 form entry)

In 2008 we opened a state of the art, purpose-built Early Years Foundation Stage building.

Included with the technologically advanced classroom facilities are dedicated outdoor learning and play areas and a parents’ meeting room.
The learning environment responds to each child’s need for something familiar together with something new and challenging. Foundation 1 and 2 work closely together to ensure the finest start for the children and a smooth transition into Key Stage 1.

Key Stage 1

Years One and Two (3 form entry)

The skills that the children gain in the Foundation Stage are consolidated and built upon. Years One and Two work very closely together as the children progress through this vital stage in their development.

Key Stage 2

Years Three, Four, Five and Six (3 form entry)

Year Three is recognised as a transition year when the children graduate from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2. The children are encouraged to develop greater independence and responsibility in Years Five and Six. Previous learning is consolidated and extended, laying the foundations for secondary transfer. Additional opportunities for residential experiences are offered in both Years Five and Six.
