Dress Code

The Jewish ethos of our School is central to its existence, and dependent not only on our teaching of Jewish knowledge, but also on the way we behave as Jews within the school community. The school has therefore agreed upon the following dress code for everyone who spends time within the school for any reason, or accompanying a class on an outing.

All women should wear skirts of a reasonable length (i.e. at or below the knee). Slits in skirts should not be immodest and tops should not be sleeveless or low cut, midriffs should be covered. Married women attending Tefillah should have their heads covered. All Jewish men and boys should cover their heads whilst on school premises or whilst attending any school events Boys should not have their sideburns shaved above the cheek bone (level of the ear), or wear their hair unduly long, nor may they wear earrings. Hair Gels and dyes are not appropriate

If we all follow correct Jewish practice it will help to create the right kind of atmosphere for your child’s growth, development and Jewish Practice.
