HomeJewish StudiesThe educational supplement or voluntary contribution
In common with all Voluntary Aided Schools, we have to raise money to pay for all the religious aspects and activities that take place at the school. The Government funds only the secular side of the school. It is a unique and extremely successful way of allowing children to benefit form the high standards of education provided by the state and at the same time enjoy the wonderful Jewish teaching we provide at The Michael Sobell Sinai School(MSSS).

We rely on parents making contributions to support these activities as we have no other source of funding. The contributions benefit from Gift Aid as MSSS is registered as a charity. We have to ask parents to make contributions on a voluntary basis and we are completely dependant on these contributions as we could not operate as a Jewish school without them.
