Chief Rabbi of Moscow – visits Sinai School

We were delighted to host a visit today from the Chief Rabbi of Moscow, Rabbi P. Goldschmidt – the spiritual leader of Moscow Synagogue and the Rabbinical Courts.

Rabbi Goldschmidt was taken on a tour of the school and had the opportunity to see for himself the high standard of Jewish Studies being delivered at the School. He listened to the pupils of Year 3 practising for their forthcoming ‘Chagigat Chumash‘ ceremony and joined in with Year 4 pupils who were reciting Birchat HaMazon beautifully after their lunch.

Throughout his visit he frequently remarked on the outstanding behaviour of the pupils and the impressive standard of the pupils work on display throughout the building.

Rabbi Goldschmidt was keen for Sinai pupils to connect with the Lauder Etz Chaim School in Moscow and thanks to him, contact has been made to enable the pupils from both schools to work together on a joint learning project.
