We hope you all had an enjoyable break. The children are in fine form this morning and all look so pleased to be back at school.
There are lots of smiling faces and the pupils are happy to see and catch up with their friends and their teachers and regale us with lots of stories about all the exciting things they got up to over the holidays. The children sang beautifully during assembly this morning and were incredibly respectful during the special prayers read out in memory of Yom HaShoah.
The summer term is always an exciting term in school with lots of outings and events taking place including Sports Days, Chaggigat Siddur and the Summer Fete. We look forward to seeing you at all these events, please see your Year Groups Newsletters for more details.
We are also wishing our Year 6 pupils the best of luck for their forthcoming SAT’s tests which are due to begin in two weeks time.
Following the assessments at the end of last term, the children should be aware of their targets for this term in Literacy and Maths. Please ask them to share these with you.
In our staff INSET’s we will be reviewing the Homework Policy and looking at ways in which the children can be involved in the assessment of their learning. We will keep you updated with these developments.
This term, teachers will also be receiving training on the delivery of the new National Curriculum which launches in September this year.
Can we also thank you for ensuring that your children’s attendance in school is maintained and for their punctuality in arriving to school on time.
Wishing you all a wonderful and successful Summer Term.
