Year 5 Pupils enjoy Victorian Day
Our Year 5 pupils had a wonderful Victorian day this week and all came to school dressed as Victorian children. They learnt about the punishments that Victorian school children would have endured and had the opportunity of taking part in some lessons in a mock classroom. Towards the end of the day they then played a variety of different Victorian toys and games. Some they recognised and others were new to them. All children had a great experience and learnt a lot more about Victorian Britain. By incredible coincidence, we found some Victorian Pictures of the school back in 1883 and the similarities between the pupils and staff then to the current Year 5 is UNCANNY!!
