Religious Education

At Sinai, we believe that learning about other cultures and faiths is essential as we are living in a multi-cultural society. We promote mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

We want all of our pupils to come out of Sinai with a firm understanding about other religions.

In order to do this, our teaching will give an overview about the whole religion rather than specific practises. Through their Jewish Studies and the ethos of the school our pupils are secure in their Jewish knowledge and beliefs and RE lessons will provide an opportunity for them to look at the similarities and differences between other religions and Judaism as well as time to reflect and celebrate their Judaism.

The purpose of teaching Religious Education at Sinai is to strengthen children’s multicultural awareness and to prepare our pupils positively for life in modern Britain. We are proud to teach the major world religions at Sinai, including Christianity, Islam and Hinduism.
