Yesterday we welcomed 80 grandparents and family members of Year 1 and Year 2 children in for a special Grandparents Tea Party.
The guests and their grandchildren enjoyed activities in the classroom including drawing and decorating portraits of one another before hearing from some of the grandparents about their time at primary school and how things have changed.
They then moved into the hall for a formal sit down afternoon tea with sandwiches, fruit and cakes. They also enjoyed a moving performance from the school choir. The event raised £3,256 towards the refurbishment of the Year 3 classrooms.
Foundation Governor and Chair of the School PTA, Deborah Azagury-Slattery commented, “We love welcoming families into school to get a glimpse of school life, observe what their children and grandchildren are learning but above all how happy the children are at Sinai. The beating heart of our school. Following on from this success we will be repeating the event for other year groups next year. “
