Ofsted inspection letter

Letter from Headteacher Mrs Lipshaw regarding the Ofsted inspection letter.

Dear Parents & Guardians,

I am immensely proud to share the personal letter I have received yesterday following our recent one-day Ofsted inspection.

The purpose of a short one day inspection is to check that we are still a good school. I am delighted to report that we have maintained this status.

I strive for excellence in all we do, running a school with high standards and excellent academic opportunities, all within a nurturing and caring environment. This was recognised by the inspectors.

There are so many positives to be taken from our inspection letter.

Ofsted recognised the progress that we have made collectively – my dedicated staff and our children who are our best ambassadors and the heartbeat of the school.

The highlights of the report include:

“…you have created a harmonious, inclusive and outward looking ethos…” (Ofsted, January 2019)

“Your pupils thrive. They feel valued and know that they have a strong voice in the school.” (Ofsted, January 2019)

“Behaviour for learning is embedded, and this has helped the school move forward.” (Ofsted, January 2019)

“Specialist teachers in art, French, physical education (PE) and music ensure that pupils benefit from a broad, rich curriculum.” (Ofsted, January 2019)

“You provide a rich and exciting learning environment for all children in the early years.” (Ofsted, January 2019)

“Children are safe, happy and excited to learn in this spacious and safe learning environment.” (Ofsted, January 2019)

Ofsted recognised where we have made significant improvements in Maths and writing and these continue to be our focus and priority for school development going forward.

I am transparent in my running of the school which is why I share the full letter with you ahead of half term. I hope you will echo my pride in the achievements of our school. The report will be available to download from the Ofsted website from the 25th February 2019. To obtain a hard copy please ask at the front desk.

Kind regards
