Our Year 6 children stepped back in time for an immersive Victorian Day. Dressed in brilliant period costumes, they experienced what school life was like in the era through marching with perfect posture, practicing handwriting, chanting times tables, tackling spellings, and reciting paragraphs by heart. They also learned about the strict punishments children would have faced at the time. In addition, they were given Victorian names and took part in a fantastic Victorian themed drama workshop, bringing the period to life through role-play and performance. A wonderful day of learning, creativity and living history.
