Our Climate Ambassadors attended the Brent Eco-Summit for primary schools at the Brent Civic Centre this week.
Whilst there they heard from speakers about the priorities for Brent to help the environment and sustainability.
They chose their top 3 priorities from a given list, which included transport, nature and green space, consumption and waste, energy, saving water and growing food.
Finally narrowing it down as a group they needed to come up with a project that would be their focus for school. A bit like Dragon's Den they created a poster to sell their idea which is to make the school grounds more biodiverse by growing plants and fruit or vegetables that can be used in school while at the same time tackling air pollution and encouraging pollinating animals to school, alongside having a mini greenhouse to protect other plants.
Their pitch was so well thought through that they all received tote bags and reusable bottles.
